Owner-Operator (End-Dump) FAQ

What is 326 Trucking?

326 Trucking is a trucking brokerage. We coordinate hauling opportunities between material sources/customers and qualified owner-operators.

Are you hiring company drivers?

No. We work with independent owner-operators (contractors), not W-2 company drivers.

How many trucks can I bring on?

We work with both single-truck and multi-truck operators. We’ll ask how many trucks you have during onboarding.

Where do you need me to be located?

Currently, our routes are between the Greater Houston Area and the Austin/San Antonio areas.  We ask where you park at night because we try to keep trucks close to the work area to reduce deadhead miles.

What’s the typical haul distance?

We run a mix of long and short hauls. Across our lanes, the average one-way haul is about 100 miles (overall).

Do you have steady work year-round?

Work is steady when conditions are dry. When it rains, demand often slows because many construction pours pause; if concrete isn’t being poured, material needs usually drop.

When and how do you send the schedule?

We text the next day’s schedule around 3:30-4:00 PM. Owner-operators are required to confirm or decline.

How does your pay schedule work?

Contractors typically work two weeks before receiving the first payment. After that, payments are issued weekly.

What is your broker fee?

Our broker fee is 9%, taken off the gross rates shown on the route/rate information.

Do you share current routes and rates?

Yes. We provide a current routes/rates link during onboarding so you can review lanes and gross pay. Email us at trucks@326trucking.com for more information.

What documents do I need to get started?

To begin hauling, you must:

  1. Complete the Owner-Operator setup packet (online form + e-signature agreement)
  2. Submit a compliant Certificate of Insurance (COI)
